We’re three weeks now in Georgia. It feels like we’ve been here much, much longer… in a GOOD way. It feels like home already. I can’t tell you why, it just feels right.
My daughter, Leah, and her best friend, Ashley, got here last weekend. It’s been so nice to have them here. They are gearing up to start the hard and heavy search for jobs in Chattanooga. Would appreciate prayers for them. They came emotionally worn out from all the “good-byes” in Des Moines.

This weekend, we’ve been at the “Stirred” conference at AIM. God is certainly moving here. It was really cool to see hundreds of 20 something’s who’ve given their lives to loving on God’s creation in miraculous ways. God spoke to us, people were healed, and hearts were melted. They have come to expect that…so they come with great expectations. This is something that I think most of the Church misses out on…expecting miracles from God and then show up to watch them happen.

While Leah was praying, “Who am I, Lord?” God gave her a beautiful image of who He sees when He looks at her. Ashley got emotional healing at such a deep level, she’s not been able to put it into words for us yet. Me, I got to partake in watching God DO miraculous stuff.
Being here made me a little melancholy. God is moving in such a real AND miraculous ways…I’m feeling very alive. Yet, it makes my heart ache for those people who aren’t experiencing Jesus in real AND miraculous ways.

For the next ten days, I challenge you to pray each day and ask God to show up in your life in real AND miraculous ways. Pray with all your heart, mind, soul, and strength…with everything you have inside. Then, also with everything you have inside to give, expect Him to show up and DO something real and miraculous. I’d suggest not having specific expectations, just have miraculous expectations. And then watch carefully. God is often unexpected.

Maybe we could share our stories of the real and miraculous work God does for us. Pray, Expect, Show-up, and Watch!

‘However, as it is written:
“No eye has seen,
no ear has heard,
no mind has conceived
what God has prepared for those who love him”- but God has revealed it to us by his Spirit.
The Spirit searches all things, even the deep things of God.’ 1 Corinthians 2:9-10
