Saying “No” to “Can’t”

I spend a lot of time asking people about their dreams and passions.  I like to know who a person was created to be. I like to dream with someone about what would happen if we strip away the layers of “can’ts” and “shouldn’ts” and “not nows”.

Inevitably, the dream is there somewhere under the piles of rubbish on top of it.  Kingdom Dreams just posted about one of the questions I love to ask.

Here is a compelling video about it:

Probably the biggest barrier to people pursuing their dreams is the fear of failing.  Most of us struggle with it.

Yet, it’s what the Positively Positive person says at the end of the video that really matters. “Make a choice. Decide. Right now….You will be 10 times further along even if you make the wrong decision than if you make no decision at all.”

Ask any successful person and they will say this is true. They will also say that you learn to make better decisions as you go along.

So, even if you screw up, action is better than inaction in moving toward a dream? Yes.

And, you learn to make better decisions as you go along? Yes.

Then, you really can’t fail, can you? Right.

SO…my question is, “What would you be doing if you couldn’t fail?
